To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Adrienne Dechief. I am a 21 year old university student at the University of Regina, studying Music Education in the area of voice, with a minor teaching area in Math. I was born and raised in Estevan, Saskatchewan, and lived with my parents and three younger siblings. I graduated from the Estevan Comprehensive School in 2010.
I have always had a great passion for the arts, especially music and dance, but also have quite a bit of experience in drama and visual arts. In addition to voice, I have experience in piano, flute, and saxophone. I have dance training in jazz, tap, hip hop, and musical theatre. I have been involved in three musicals: High School Musical, Wizard of Oz, and Hairspray, working both onstage and offstage in all three.
In Regina, I have been involved with Girl Guides, working with girls aged 7-13 and 15-18 for three years. Also, I have been a member of the Education Students’ Society (ESS) for two years, holding the role of Vice President of Professional Affairs. Through the ESS, I have participated in Project Connect, which is our community outreach project. Through Project Connect, I have planned activities for, and been a leader at day camps at community schools in Regina.
I thank you in advance for this upcoming semester. I am very excited to be interning in your classroom in the fall and know I will learn much from this invaluable experience.
